👋 Before You Start the Sprint

If you’re here, you’re probably trying to figure out:

  • how to actually break into sports
  • or why your applications keep going nowhere

A lot of students respond by applying to more and more jobs.

Usually that just creates more frustration.

The bigger issue is often:

  • applying to roles that don’t really fit
  • having an unfocused resume
  • or not understanding how sports hiring actually works yet

That’s what this sprint is designed to help with.

This is not a “get hired instantly” course.

And it’s not meant to become another thing that sits unfinished in your downloads folder.

The goal is to move quickly:

  • get clearer on where you fit
  • improve how you apply
  • and better understand how sports hiring actually works

Because sports hiring can feel random when you’re first trying to break in.

This sprint is designed to make the process easier to understand – and easier to navigate.

START HERE

This sprint is built to help you move faster and apply more intentionally.

You do NOT need to have your entire career figured out before starting.

But you do need:

  • clearer direction
  • a stronger resume
  • and a better system for how you apply

Each section is designed to help with a different part of that process.

🧭
01 – Choose Your Path

This helps you figure out what roles actually make sense for you.

A lot of students apply too broadly early on, which usually leads to:

  • weaker resumes
  • random applications
  • and confusion about where they actually fit

The goal is to help you narrow your focus and start building direction.

📄 02 – Sports Resume Fix

Probably the most important section.

In under a minute, we can usually tell whether a resume has a real shot at landing sports internships and entry-level roles – or why it doesn’t.

This section covers:

  • what hiring managers actually notice
  • common resume mistakes
  • what experience actually helps
  • and how to make your resume easier to understand quickly

🚀 03 – Application System

This is the process side.

Where to apply.
How often to apply.
How to stop applying randomly.

A lot of students treat sports hiring like a lottery ticket and hope something eventually works.
> Consistency matters way more than sending 40 random applications in one night.

Templates

These templates are here to give you a starting point.

Most students either:

  • try way too hard in outreach messages
  • or barely try at all

Both usually end up sounding generic.

📄 Resume Template

A simple sports resume structure designed to be:

  • cleaner
  • easier to scan
  • and easier for hiring managers to understand quickly

To edit: Open the template → File → Make a copy

📬 Outreach Templates

Examples for:

  • reaching out after applying
  • networking
  • introducing yourself professionally
  • following up without sounding robotic

📊 Application Tracker

A simple way to track:

  • where and when applied
  • follow-ups
  • Interviews

To edit: Open the template → File → Make a copy
A lot of students apply to dozens of roles and lose track almost immediately.
A simple system makes it easier to stay organized and apply more intentionally.
You do NOT need the perfect background to break into sports.

But you do need:
direction, initiative, & willingness to build experience over time.
